I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and now I live in San Francisco, California where I swim in the bay at the crack of dawn with a group of people who are as crazy about open water as I am.
I came to the U.S. to study economics at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. After working in the financial industry for several years, I returned to my childhood love of art.
I was trained at The Atelier School of Classical Realism in Oakland, CA. I am an author and illustrator of several picture books. I am currently working on a graphic memoir and a series of large canvases that seek to convey my love of movement, light and water.
